One time I made some M&M ones but LOL it turns out I bought Skittles and had zero clue until I bit into one. I looked in the trash can and there was a Skittles wrapper LOL!!

my HEAVILY modified Traxxas E-Revo 1/16
only thing stock on it is the chassis, center diff case, and the VXL but that has a heat sink and cooling fan

I remember when the original 1/10th Revo and E-Revo came out lol. The monster trucks were cool but I was always more into the truggies. I have a Losi XXX-T and I remember when I dropped in a first gen Mamba, that was so fast! I had plans to race my Tamiya TT-01 Evo but the local hobby shop stopped doing 1/10th and moved to 1/18th. Right now those two along with a TL-01 and a 1/10th Pan Car are sitting on a shelf. I really need to get new batteries and get them back out.

you should buddy. A Mamba Losi XXX-T sounds all sorts of badass :] The guys here at Aston Martin also have r/c's. A Stamped and a 1/10 Erevo all with crazy mods and with OEM Aston Martin paint. That Skyfall silver is all destroyed lol :] Out behind my dealer there is some development construction going on so at lunch....bash time!

Oh that sounds like an awesome time. There is a field behind my work...i should see if anyone else has some...or get more and share!
It is so weird seeing how the truggies switched to stadium trucks. I shelved mine right when Traxxis launched their first stadium truck. I had an old housemate with one but he stripped the radio and put in an arduino controller and made it autonomous, it was a cool project and he gave me the extra radio!
I too have had lots of paint troubles. I had a Ford GT body that I was doing gunmetal on black but I got model paint rather than lexan paint so that always flaked off. Ha, there is that pesky GT body behind the car.

That was the first time I tried it out with the Mamba Max lol. Curbs do not play nice with grippy sidewalls.

That is true. I got a fresh set of JConcepts and getting on cement at any speed and turning will cause it to flip. Plus, I have to re align it way more often. They are really good but have ballooning issue. time to tape them up I guess

Ah yes the bane of monster trucks lol. It alway was cool seeing the t-maxx and e-maxx squat down under acceleration but the tires turn to disks. Mine never had that issue. I have the original set of small nob and rib losi tires and those don't balloon or need balancing but I got a set of associated road tires and those were terrible. So out of balance and not even close to round. I gave up on those and decided to run the nobs bald.

it looks like around 15 for a pair of tires for my xxx-t and about the same for rims, so in all, $60?
